Tuesday Dec 01, 2020
Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life is the first of 6 volumes in the series written and drawn by Bryan Lee O'Malley, and what a perfect little breather to inject into our book club series after two months of heavy material. On this episode we are joined by Robbie Billups of the Pop Culture Philosophers to help us dig through this first volume of a book that all of us could relate to in one way or another. From dating woes to roommate jokes to the wacky infusion of video game boss fights, we laughed our way through this episode and through the book.

Late to the Party Book Club - Episode 2 - V For Vendetta
Thursday Nov 05, 2020
Thursday Nov 05, 2020
"Remember, remember the 5th of November..." We take another stab at one of the best graphic novels of all time as we tackle Alan Moore's V For Vendetta. We could not have picked a more timely book given the current global political climate; and trust us, this book has not aged a day since it was published in the late 1980s. There is so much more to this book than anarchy. Joined by author and musician Derek Flynn, we discuss the prescient topic the story tells and how all of us were shocked at universal and timely the theme is. This is our first podcast where three different countries and nationalities are represented!

Let's just say we're cautiously optimistic about this one. Finally we dive into this week's reviews as we both surprisingly loved Love and Monsters and were a bit disappointed with the return of The Mandalorian. Let us know where you stand as well!
